- We recommend you first get in touch with your Student Welfare Officer, Chaplain or drop in to the Health and Wellbeing Adviser (Wednesdays 2–4pm, in the Information Centre, Richardson Building, Digby Stuart Campus), so that appropriate forms of support can be identified to meet any or all the needs you might have.
- If you think counselling is appropriate, and you are sure no other support might be needed, you can request an initial counselling assessment either by sending an email to health&wellbeing@roehampton.ac.uk or by going in person to the reception in the Information Centre, Richardson Building, Digby Stuart Campus.
- If your situation is more serious and causing you to worry about your physical or psychological health you should contact your GP. In an emergency you should seek immediate help from the emergency services. Contact the Medical Centre if you are registered, or wish to register there.
Sometimes problems magnify during the night, when you are alone or when you feel particularly worried about your work or someone who is important to you. At night there are several helpline services:
SWOs, after an initial discussion, may well refer you to agencies that can deal with your particular concern:
or one of many other support agencies.
Remember that Chaplains and Faith Advisers can offer support.
