Unit 6: Introductions and conclusions
We all know that an essay should open with an introduction and close with a conclusion. But what is really meant by ‘introduce’ and ‘conclude’?
For a clear introduction to opening and closing essays read ‘How to...’ guide. When you have read that I would like you to turn to some examples of introductions and evaluate them. In order to evaluate them you can turn back to the ‘How to...’ guide from time to time. (It would be a good idea to print out the page.)
