Student Welfare Officers

Each college department has an associated Student Welfare Officer (SWO). Student Welfare Officers provide pastoral support and advice to students. They are also responsible for issuing student parking permits. SWOs can:

  • offer support in managing your finances. For help with budgets, you can also contact Money Doctors.
  • help you with personal problems or suggest options for support within the University - for example the Health and Wellbeing Adviser or your Chaplain - or elsewhere.
  • help you to find out how to make a complaint about services or an individual at the University.

If you have questions or concerns related to your studies there are several people you can ask for advice, including your SWO and your Personal Tutor.

Contact the SWO for your college.
