For example, students leaving in June will have access to their Roehampton emails and all other IT and Library resources up to the end of September the same year. This is an automated process based on the leaving date in your student record.
This should allow enough time for Graduation and any resits or appeals. Your network account remains active during these 3 months as does your email account, which remains visible to Roehampton staff and students in the Outlook Global Address Book.
During this time it is the responsibility of you as a student to make a copy of any Network (N:) drive files you want to keep. You can copy the files to CD/DVD on any open access computer, or save them to a memory stick, or send them as attachments to your personal email account such as a GMail or HotMail account.
We also recommend that you put a forward on your Roehampton email account to your personal email account.
If you need access after the 3 calendar months from your leaving date, or need further advice, please contact the IT Helpdesk. For requests to keep your account enabled past the 3 calendar months time scale we would require authorization from your Head of Academic Department.
After this date any forward you have on your University email account will stop working and your email address will no longer be visible in the Outlook Global Address Book.
Because of licensing implications, we cannot currently allow alumni continued access to University IT resources, but this is something we're looking into for the future.
Regretfully we cannot refund any print/copy/scan credit remaining on the uniFLOW system when you leave. So please use up any credit you have on the system.
