Term Time:

Monday to Friday: 8am to 9pm.
Saturday and Sunday: 11am to 6pm.

Vacation Time:

Monday to Thursday: 9am to 7pm.
Friday: 9am to 5pm.
Saturday: 11am to 6pm.
Sunday: closed.  

Reporting a problem

You will get voicemail if we are busy or the Helpdesk is closed. If you leave a voicemail message please speak slowly and clearly and provide:

  • your name plus your student number if you are experiencing a problem with your student network account;
  • your mobile phone number or preferred email address.

If you are reporting a problem with your network connection in Halls of Residence, we need the number of the dataport in your room in addition to your room and flat location. We must have a mobile number before we send an IT technician to visit your room. 

This information will help us resolve your query more swiftly. Thank-you for your cooperation!

Advice

  • We cannot offer support related to students' own computers or IT hardware, or software that is not part of our standard University software. We can offer brief advice on such problems but cannot fix them for you. Will we not accept any computer or laptop to look at later.
  • We do not sell software but can offer advice on suitable applications.
  • We do not sell hardware but can offer advice on the minimum specs required to successfully connect to the Internet in the Halls of Residence.
