The Library has a range of study environments available. In trying to meet the needs of everyone we also have noise zones to cater for all tastes, Group, Quiet and Silent areas.
We have study bays dotted around the book floors in places, we have bookable study rooms, PC Suites, social learning in the Wired cybercafé, Individual study, access to power for laptops on study bays, sofas, desks, bean bags and comfy chairs.
You can choose which area suits you best for the task in hand.
What we ask all our users to do is respect each other and the noise levels that need to be adhered to in each study area.
The library has several study rooms varying in size. Most can be booked in advance.
All rooms are open access when not booked but to guarantee getting a room when you want please book in advance via our web booking system http://studentzone.roehampton.ac.uk/library/lrc/studyrooms/index.html
Two of these rooms have priority booking status for students who are registered with the Library as having Special Requirements.
We strongly recommend that you book rooms in advance but if you want one on the day you may still make a booking in the library. When you do this we will print your confirmation sheet for you at the time and give it to you.
The library has a sound pictogram on the signs in each area to highlight the level of noise that will be tolerated in a particular study space.
If you do not respect the noise zones, you will be required to relocate to an alternative area to study.
