Academic & Library Skills Development Workshops

NO NEED TO BOOK, JUST TURN UP!

Library and Learning Services are offering a programme of workshops across the different campuses of the  University to help you make the most of the resources and services available to you.  All workshops advertised here are free and open to Roehampton students on a "drop-in" basis and are non-subject specific. Workshops will run all term and will be repeated, so there will be plenty of opportunities to attend the workshop you are interested in.

Watch this page for more information and updates to our workshop schedules throughout the year.

Library Tours

Students can now choose to attend tours at a time that best suits their schedule and will be able to sign up online via the Library web pages. Tours will run on each weekday over the first few weeks of the term. Tours will provide a general introduction to the Library resources and facilities. Online help

In addition to the workshops led by our experienced staff we have developed a range of online materials and guides

  • Student Moodle Support Site  - New and experienced student Moodle users can learn how to use Moodle's tools and facilities, as well as how to login and navigate

Guides

  • How to study ... guide  The guide is divided into sections to help identify specific areas of study skills and where to get help. Each section aims to give clear practical guidance on different aspects of study. If you flick through now, you‘ll see what it covers, and you‘ll then be able to dip into the sections you need.
  • University of Roehampton Referencing guide   The referencing guide contains examples of Harvard, MLA and APA referencing styles including sample bibliographies and full details on in-text citations for each style.
  • Subject Resources guides The Subject guides give you an introduction to the most important  library resources for the subject you study.

Workshops in the Library

All sessions take place in the Library, Room 301A, located on the 3rd floor directly above the 2nd floor computing suite.
