Search and Collect Service

The Search and Collect Service is available to all Roehampton students and staff.

By placing an online request, we will find the books for you and hold them for collection at either the Library or at Whitelands.

It doesn't replace a trip to the library to make use of all or our resources, but if you're pressed for time it’s quick and convenient.

How to use the service

Please be aware that this is a Term Time only service and not available during vacation periods.

You can request a maximum of 10 Library items by completing an online form, available via the links provided below. 

Please make sure you select the correct form depending on whether you want to collect your item/s at the Roehampton Lane campus or at Whitelands College.

You will be allowed to request up to 10 library items per online form. Please complete the form in full in order to help us process your request.

Requests can be placed on library items which are loanable only.

The service does not accept requests for any reference material, such as Key Text Reference and Journals, or for Laptops.

Collection Times

Library - available Monday - Friday 9am - 7pm.  Just ask at the Enquiry Desk.

Whitelands - available Monday - Friday 11am - 3pm.  Just ask at the Whitelands Computer Suite room G064. 

Things you should know 

• You will receive an auto-reply confirming we have received your request.
• Items will be provided within 24 hours of request where possible.  We'll email you to let you know they are available for collection.
• You will have 48 hours (2 working days) within which you can collect your items. Items that are uncollected will be cancelled.
• If we are unable to find items we will reserve them where possible and when indicated to do so. We will e-mail you with the action we have taken. You will then collect your own reservation in the library as normal. We are unable to deliver items that have been reserved.
• Please note that we are unable to reserve videos and DVDs.
• Search and Collect is a Term Time only service
• For weekend therapy courses only - Items requested for collection at Whitelands on a weekend must be requested by 12pm on the Thursday before your teaching weekend starts. They will be available for collection between 11.45 and 14.15 on agreed dates.
