Academic Liaison Librarians and Archivists

Academic Liaison Librarians are here to support the information needs of staff and students for teaching, learning and research.

We do this by:

Working with academic colleagues to ensure that programmes are appropriately supported by Library and Learning Services.
Maintaining and developing the Library's collection of books, journals, audio-visual and electronic material, and specialist collections such as the Froebel Archive, School Experience Library and the Children's Literature collection.
Teaching students and staff how to use Library collections independently, particularly electronic information resources, through information literacy training sessions and one-to-one tuition.
Enabling specific groups of users such as part-time and distance learners, researchers and students with disabilities to use our resources.
