This is a nurse-led service, which means you will be seen initially by a nurse who will be able to provide you with treatment or refer you to a GP or other service.

We offer a full NHS General Practice service for all University of Roehampton students within the practice area. In addition, we provide:

  • sexual health screening
  • a family planning service
  • travel immunisations and advice.

All consultations are completely confidential.

Location

The Medical Centre is in Old Court, Froebel College (see the Campus maps).

The Student Medical Centre is closed during University holidays, but students can attend Putneymead Medical Centre during this time.

If you are visiting home, your family doctor will see you as a temporary patient.

Registering with the Medical Centre

It is important that you register with us as soon as you arrive at the University, or when you have accepted your University place. If you are not registered and you live within two miles of the University, we will see you if we have appointments free. But it is easier and safer to register before you need to see us.

Walk-in Clinic for registered patients

The Walk-in Clinic, for registered patients, held on Monday to Friday at 11am–12pm, is for:

If you have a minor ailment, see the Medicine Cabinet.

Overseas students

If you are not normally resident in the UK or have not been in the UK for at least six months, you will not be entitled to free NHS treatment. Please see the Department of Health website for details.
