"On a mild, starry night, winking airliners were coming into land regularly, as Roehampton is on the Heathrow flight path.  The only authority figure I could see was a man wearing a "Security" fluorescent jacket, doing a round of building checks.  So I certainly perceived the place as safe (Professional Security Magazine, Feb 2011)

My name is Paul Markham-James, an Assistant Director within Property and Facilities Management.  My role includes being Head of Security, Fire & Transport and I welcome you to our website.

The role of the Security Service is to endeavour to provide an environment that contributes to the well-being of students, staff and visitors and the safeguarding of the University estate within available resources.

Together with my team I aim to provide an environment where all can learn, teach, live and work in safety.  As a Service we endeavour to provide a measured approach to all situations which require intervention and we are committed to being customer focused in the provision of a professional Security Service.
