Sport Roehampton 10k Charity Run

Sport Roehampton are once again organising a 10 kilometre race for all past and current students, staff and members of the local community. The race will start and end at the University but with the majority of the route within the beautiful grounds of the nearby Richmond Park. Every runner will get a special race goodie bag including a t-shirt to prove that you've made it which you can then wear with pride. After the race everyone is encouraged to stay for a BBQ and of course the bar will be open.

The race will take place on Friday 18th May at 4:30pm so it will be a good way to kick off your weekend and indeed summer. In view of the start time, participants may need to finish work earlier than normal. Staff are asked to discuss any variations to their working arrangements in advance with their line manager. Managers are encouraged to support staff in their participation.

For those who think 10 km is too much for them then there will also be a 1 mile fun run around the campus with fancy dress optional but encouraged!

The 10km race will be £10 for staff or £5 for students to enter (or £2 for the mile fun run) with all money going to local charity Regenerate who supports disadvantaged familes in the local area. To sign up please click here. You have until 5pm Monday 14th May to enter.

If you would also like to raise money for Regenerate through individual sponsorship then please please do. You can set up your own Just Giving webpage linked to Regenerate by clicking here

If you want to train for the event then you can download a suggested training programme here courtesy of which has lots of ideas of how to train and what to do when.
